Opening Credit Montage Brainstorm

Alright, everybody post one or two ideas for a quick shot in the opening credit montage. Think '90s sitcom openings and that sort of thing. Also, maybe '80s action shows. It'll be good to get a solid list of ideas to pull from ready in advance for when we start putting this thing together.

1) I'm going to start by using the previously discussed idea of Jay and one of the puppets running and diving away from an explosion.

2) Jay is reading a thick book (probably an encyclopedia or something) while wearing his smoking jacket and holding a pipe in his mouth. He looks up at the camera as if it has just entered the room and he smiles warmly.

3) Jay and a puppet sidekick, wearing lab coats or some such thing, stir something into a glass beaker of strangely colored liquid. The beaker foams up and "boils" over. They high five and give deep, mad scientist belly laughs.

4) Very brief shot of something completely random and unrelated, but mundane. Like a dramatic shot of a bowl of fruit, or a close up of someone tying their shoes or something

Alright, I've gone over the limit I set but these are just some ideas to get things started. Everyone should try to add something in the comments.

  1. 5)Jay and one or two of the puppets are eating ice cream cones. The scoops fall off of one of them. The others laugh. The eater looks irritated, but then also starts to laugh.

6)Jay is in bed sick, or with a cast on an elevated leg. The others look in on him with concern and Murray gets him to raise his head up so he can eat a spoonful of soup.

7)Jay, Rex, and Marty are in military fatigues up against a wall holding guns in the middle of an intense firefight. One of them pops out to shoot, gets shot, and then we cut to another shot with maybe Rex standing over Jay pounding on his chest and crying, and Marty in the background with his head in his hands weeping.

  2. Also, I suggest, if we ARE going to use The Professor, that the lab scene with the high five be with Jay and The Prof.

  3. how bout for one me and a puppet or 2 are in one of the cars, angle shot from side or front/back depending on which wall is green screen, reacting as if they are being chased or in a race or something.

  5. The hampster playing ping pong sucsefully and then about 20 ping pongs come flying across the table and he scramble to hit them but then stops and looks at the cammera, and drops the padle to point at the camera.

  6. Claus pulling a very small lasagna out of the oven, he turns to the camera, then trips and falls into the lasagna.

  7. Sven, the deathmetal owl, in the window rocking out hard core with head phone on, then falling back out of the window. Then popping up looking at the camera with a smile.

  8. Divinicus slumped over in a chair, and the big head comes in a sits down on him, and gives an 'i don't know" shrug.

  9. Ms. Cathrine and her daughter have a fight and then stopping when they see the camera come in. Or the daughter leaves and slams a door and Ms. Cathrine turns to the camera and crosses her arms.

  10. @Stew

Now when you say that the hamster drops the paddle and points at the camera, do you mean in kind of a friendly "Hey, how's it going guys?" kind of way, or like Invasion of the Body Snatchers?

  11. Which character was Divinicus? Was that the half finished puppet?

We need to come up with a master character list.
