Green Screen!

The wall is painted! Well...mostly. These were shot with just the first coat of probably two coats. It is a little streaky at this point. Also, it's with only 2 of the 4-6 lights we'll wind up using. But personally, even without totally finished paint, and with a half assed light set up, these look pretty good.

  1. I noticed a bit of reflection on the green screen. Is that the primer showing through, will it be taken care of with the second coat and will it even be a problem if it isn't?
Also, I see that the video recorder was used, does that mean that there is material for post production test drives?

  2. No, the reflection you see will not be a problem. The most glaring spot is where the paint is actually still wet, and yeah, some of the other spots are primer showing through the first coat. Also, we can reduce a lot of would be glare with careful lighting. If we flood the screen evenly the front lights should not cause a problem, and if they do, careful keying can get rid of that. I actually just went looking for some tutorials on how to do just that actually in after effects, and its not hard.
Jay did record, and is supposed to capture what he recorded and get it sent to anyone who might try doing some post work. So yeah, we have test drive material.
